We're Victor and Telmo, two students from Barcelona with one slightly ridiculous plan: drive 2,400 km across Morocco in an old banger, with no GPS, no support crew, and no idea what the desert will throw at us.
But this isn't just an adventure. It's a mission.
What is UniRaid?
UniRaid is a student humanitarian convoy organised by IRIDIS TRAVEL UNIRAID, a travel agency with 35+ years of experience running expeditions across North Africa. Every October, teams of two drive from the north of Morocco all the way to Marrakech - through the Atlas Mountains, the Saharan desert, and remote rural communities - carrying sports equipment and school supplies for children who need them most.
No rankings. No trophies. The mission is the destination.
What we're doing In October 2026, we'll join the convoy and personally deliver sports equipment - footballs, basketballs, sports kits, water bottles, skipping ropes, cones, and toys - directly to schools and communities in El Hajeb, Aoufous, Merzouga, Nkob, and villages throughout the northern Atlas that we'll visit along the route.
Last year's UniRaid teams collectively delivered over 15 tonnes of supplies. We want to add ours.
Where your money goes:
Every euro goes directly towards the expedition and the materials we carry:
Purchasing sports equipment and supplies to bring with us
Vehicle preparation and safety equipment (we need the car to actually make it...)
Registration for the UniRaid convoy
Fuel, food, and logistics across 2,400 km of Moroccan terrain
We're two students funding this ourselves - any contribution, big or small, gets more supplies into the hands of kids who will actually use them.
Why it matters:
Sport changes lives. It builds confidence, creates friendships, and gives kids a reason to show up. Many of the communities we'll visit don't have access to basic equipment. We've seen what a football can do for a group of kids in a dusty schoolyard - and we want to bring a lot more of them.
If you can't donate, sharing this page means the world to us. Follow our journey on Instagram @casiprofesionales - we'll be posting every step of the way, from the preparation in Barcelona to the finish line in Marrakech.
Thank you for being part of this. 🧡
